FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Will this impact my Windows and iOS Check-in stations?
- Windows
Check-in - After installing Check-in on a PC, a login is required.
After that initial login, no login is ever needed again. Therefore,
Windows Check-in stations will not be impacted by this update.
- iOS
Check-in - Similar to Windows Check-in, a connection is established
with F1 when logging in. As long as the "Log Out" option is not
selected, there is no need to re-enter login credentials. iOS will not
force a password reset if you do log out. Only the Portal is forcing a
reset.
How will this update impact other applications like the Contributions
Application, F1 Mobile, Teacher, Coordinator, Insights (Premier edition
only), or Dashboard (Core and Select editions only)?
At the time of the release, the FellowshipOne Portal will be the only
application that prevents users from logging in without first resetting
their password. As a result, users will be able to use these
applications with their existing credentials. Once a user changes
their password in Portal, that password will then
apply to these applications going forward.

and church code, and click “Reset”
- An email with a link
to reset your password will be sent to the email address
associated with your user
- If the email is not

- Click the link
within the Password Reset email, which will open a Portal
page where the new password can be created.
I’m a Champion. How do I reset another user’s password after
the update has occurred?
Portal users with certain security rights can trigger a reset of another
Portal user’s password.
A user with the “Password Manager” security right can reset another
user’s password by performing the following steps:
- Go to the Portal
Home page
- In the Staff card,
Click the “Portal Users” link
- Click “View” by the
Portal user needing to be reset
- Click the
“Reset Password” button
A user with the “Administrator” and “Security Officer" security
rights (both are needed) can reset a user’s password via the
Admin tab .
- Go to Admin >
Security Setup > Portal Users
- Click the action
gear by the Portal user needing to be reset
- Click “Edit user”
- Click the
“Reset Password” button
- Click “OK” to
confirm
Once the reset is triggered, the Portal user will be
logged out of FellowshipOne (if they are currently logged in), and unable
to log in again until they have successfully reset their password.
The user will receive a Password Reset email with a link to
reset their password.
I’m a Champion. How do I create a new Portal user?
When a Portal Champion creates a new user, they will no longer set a
temporary password when setting up the new user’s account.
Instead, upon saving the new user, an email will be sent to the email
address associated with the user’s account with a link to set
their password. If the link expires or the individual did not
receive the email, the Champion can follow the above steps to reset the
user’s password and a new email will be sent.
Are there additional security updates planned for the future?
We are currently assessing additional security updates for FellowshipOne
and will continue to communicate with our church partners when future
updates are planned.
