Choose the following method for the labels you are trying to print:
Method 1 - Labels generated by a report in the Report Library
These labels generate in PDF format & may require a setting to be tweaked in Adobe Reader. When printing, please do the following:
- Open the report in Adobe Reader.
- Select File & Print from the menu options. This will display the Print dialog box.
- Locate the 'Page Handling' section & change Page Scaling to None.
Method 2 - Labels generated from search results or a group
These labels generate in PDF format, but are more flexible in that you can tweak the settings of your printer prior to generating the labels. Label manufacturers try to preset the printing options with the best settings for most printers. However, the manufacturer's settings may not work on your computer as all printer drivers are not created in the same way. Use the following procedure to change the manufacturer's settings.
- Open the Report Library.
- Click Label Styles just below the search field at the top of the Report Library window. The Manage Your Label Styles list appears.
- Click New Label Style (or you can edit an existing style if you have one already created). The New Label Style form appears.
- Type a name for your label style in the Name field.
- Select the brand & label style template number from the Would you like to use a template? drop-down list. The default sizes & margin off-sets will appear automatically in the form fields.
- Change the Top & Side margins as needed to make sure the labels print correctly on your printer.
- Click Save. The style will now be available every time you want to print labels from a group or report output.
You may need to repeat this procedure a few times to get the settings right for your printer.
