Breakout groups are an organizational mechanism used with the Activity structure to organize participants outside of the rosters where they are assigned/attending. Breakout groups are not required for an Activity, but can be helpful.

To create breakout groups, follow these steps:

1. Click Ministry > Activities > View all
2. Select correct Activity
3. Click Breakout Groups tab
4. Click Add Breakout Group
5. Type name
6. Type code to print on name tag in Tag code field
7. Click Save breakout group

Note: Breakout groups can also have participants assigned to them.
