Online Contributions
Online Giving is associated with the person who logs in to the Online Giving module for two reasons:

The payment method requires the person to enter a single individual (the credit/debit card is typically only associated with one individual)

To separate household giving from giving done by children, visitors, or other members in a household. Only the Head & Spouse household member types have access to view household giving. Individual's must log into Online Giving so that security access can be checked & the appropriate information can be displayed in the contribution history area.
What about contribution statements?
When it's time to run contribution statements, you may be wondering how you can manage giving so that it displays as giving for a household instead of each individual that gives through Online Giving. There is a check box within the contribution statement request setup area called Roll Up Individual Contributions to Household. When this check box is selected, the individual contributions within the members of the household are rolled up into one household statement.
