Emails Consistently Going to Spam

Email Clients each have their own individual methods for identifying spam/junk emails & filtering them to those kinds of folders.
FellowshipOne does not have control of these but there are a few things you can do to avoid common filtering to spam. When composing the email, try to avoid doing the following:

  • Using phrases like “Click here!” or “Once in a lifetime opportunity!”
  • Excessive use of exclamation points
  • Using all caps, specifically in the subject line
  • Using brightly colored font
  • Pasting content created in programs such as Microsoft Word
  • An email using a single HTML image
  • Using the word “test” in the subject line
  • Sending to stale lists. Permission generally goes stale within about 6 months, so if your subscribers haven’t heard from you within that timeframe, you’ll need to reconfirm your list
