Within FellowshipOne, there are two different types of IDs: Household IDs & Individual IDs. The advantage to having these two types of IDs is to differentiate between what we call Household level Giving & Individual Level Giving.
If you use Giving Kiosk or Secure Give at your church, you may have encountered some questions about matching the gifts in FellowshipOne when Organizations or Businesses use the kiosk.
Organizations within FellowshipOne are only given Household level IDs, not Individual IDs & the number you input into SecureGive is a Household ID for these organizations. We have only issued Household level IDs because gifts from businesses cannot be attributed to an individual within the Organization, but are only attributed to the business itself.
At this point in time SecureGive & Giving Kiosk have not developed their application through our API to look at Household IDs. They currently only retrieve & look at Individual IDs within FellowshipOne. Because of this, we have two options for addressing Business Gifts through the Kiosk. You can contact SecureGive & Giving Kiosk & request that they adjust their application code to accept & search through FellowshipOne Household & Individual IDs. Our API is capable of such integration, however they must adjust their application coding to appropriately pull this information.
Alternately, you can create individual records for the businesses within FellowshipOne & then input that new Individual ID into the kiosk as belonging with the Organizational giving. At the end of the year you can use the Move Contributions function (see this article.) to move the contributions to the actual Organization within FellowshipOne, or you can simply move all previous gifts associated with the Organizations to the Individual records & then we can delete the Organizations for you via a Support Ticket.
