Create a Search Category for Groups

  1. Go to Groups > Administration > Search Categories
  2. Click Add a search category
  3. Enter a category name & select Publish this search category to display the category in InFellowship’s Find a Group
  4. Select the check box beside each standard & custom field to use when evaluating groups to return in the category results.
    • Note: Everything you select must be “True” to return a group in the category search results. Less is often more when working with search categories.
  5. Save the search category

Note: There is a 15 minute delay between creating a search category & having it fully populated on the Search Categories listing page. Initially your category appears with 0 searchable groups. This will populate within 15 minutes.
